Restaurants

Here are the local restaurants which we recommend to our guests.

La Sapinière

Our nearest hotel and restaurant, a five-minute drive away or a steep uphill cycle of twenty minutes. This is a three-star hotel with a popular restaurant. It overlooks some beautiful local countryside and serves a variety of menu options of varying cost. Good food and nearby — a great combination! They also have a terrace and a bar.

Ril’s

Off the main square in Saint Omer, Ril’s is a deceptively large restaurant with a straightforward menu, from wood-fired pizza to salads and steaks. Ril’s is large enough to reserve a table for a group of 26, and has very efficient and friendly waiting staff.

La Terrasse

On the main square of Saint Omer, this would suit smaller groups. A traditional French restaurant with an excellent set lunch, there is less room here than in nearby Ril’s.

Le Carré St-Martin

This is the base of one of our local caterers. It is on the far side of Saint Omer and offers a variety of set-price menus that can include a buffet selection of starters. The menus start at about €40 and they have an impressive wine list.

King Long

This Chinese restaurant is on the edge of the Auchan shopping area between Saint Omer and Arques. The building is rather industrial and lacks charm but there is plenty of parking and masses of seating. This is an all-you-can-eat buffet of high quality Chinese food. The staff are friendly and the place is great value at €17 per person. No booking required.

Le Cygne

This restaurant in Saint Omer was recommended by one of our guests recently. It offers a seven course tasting menu for the adventurous. There are also private rooms if required.
