Definitely recommend Big Chateau! Had a lovely time here — every room is beautiful and there are lots of things to do. The hosts are wonderful and took care of our every need!
The highlight for us was the dining room where we would all gather for the grand occasion each evening. We have stayed in similar properties in the UK and France, but this one is very much in our top three… The children are already badgering to see when we'll be back!

24 members of a Suffolk walking group gathered here for a long weekend towards the end of January and we had the time of our lives. The trampoline proved a surprising smash hit, with even the grey of hair hopping and flopping around on it and shrieking with laughter.
This is the chateau of dreams! We rented with four other families and both adults and children alike had a truly magical time. The children took over the top floor with trampoline and TV room and didn't want to leave the chateau at all… We would love to stay again.
We were lucky enough to be taken to the chateau for our Christmas party, staying for one night. The quick journey from Kings Cross via the Eurostar coupled with the amazing facilities and stunningly restored decor made this a Christmas party that will take some beating.

Fabulous house, fantastic hosts, unforgettable stay! We spent a long weekend in Big Chateau and had the time of our lives… The hosts were amazing — lovely people and very helpful in advising on things to do in the local area… We would return in a heartbeat!
We used it as a base for golf and visited the excellent championship course at Golf d'Hardelot des Pins and the nearby course at St-Omer, which has both 18 and 9 hole courses, although the 9 hole is not recommended for serious golfers… All in all a perfect getaway.
We spent ten days in the chateau as part of a family holiday. The children especially liked playing on the top floor in the trampoline room and having massive sleepovers! Several day trips within easy reach — we visited beaches at Wissant and Le Touquet, Dennlys fun park…
I really enjoyed my stay here at the Big Chateau. Great cycling routes nearby to get stuck into. Rooms are very comfortable and we had plenty of space.
Incredible holiday! We visited for one week in August, 21 people, 4 families with ages ranging from 2 months to 68 years old… Can't speak highly enough of the chateau and would recommend to anyone wanting a French getaway with friends or family.

The quality of bed linen, pillows and duvets is top, top and exactly what you would buy for yourself rather than skimping on furnishing a "rental property"… Amanda and Dan have created something pretty unique. Really cannot recommend Chateau d'Hallines enough.
