I recently visited Chateau d'Hallines again for a couple of days with friends. Since my visit last year, a wonderful outside hospitality area has been created which looks a great place to hold an event. Really hope to be back again next year. Definitely recommend.
Everything is perfect in this property. It has a large capacity of high-end accommodation and a fabulous and very functional reception area.
THE place to be! We organised for a second year in a row our visit to the Chateau, after first year's success… Extra tip: you can have great barbecues in the large gardens of the Chateau… We are already planning our return for next year!
Everything has been done to a high standard, the rooms are all spacious and everything just works. My expectations were high but this place exceeded them. The honour system in the kitchen (use what you want but replace it) really works well.
We had a week long family celebration for 25 and could not have found a better location. Beautifully restored and equipped with everything one could possibly need, the consensus expressed by us all was that one week is too short a time to do everything that is available.
There was an abundance of high quality mountain bikes available and off we rode into the gorgeous hinterland. For those less adventurous the Chateau offers a plethora of fun activities way beyond our expectations… All in all this was a truly wonderful break.
Big Chateau delivers. Beautiful property that is true to its advertising. Kitchen is well stocked which we appreciated as we enjoyed cooking and relaxing at the castle more than anything on our trip. Even used the marvellous new tennis court. Great location for large group.
I had an amazing experience staying at the Chateau. I couldn't have asked for a better getaway. Would highly recommend!
What a fantastic five days we had. We were first out there after lockdown and the owners Amanda and Dan were so understanding about all the uncertainties… I could not recommend Chateau d'Hallines more highly. We all had a wonderful time and I am sure you will do as well.
What an ideal spot for an art retreat! Big Chateau enabled us to drive to our destination, being only 30 minutes from Calais, and have enough space to feel safe. Amanda and Dan couldn't have been more welcoming… I'm happy to say we have rebooked for next year!
Hi-spec beautiful mansion house, great for families. Owners very helpful. I stayed with my daughter as part of an extended-family holiday. Everything you need is onsite and the WiFi is very good. After two weeks there, I didn't want to leave. Thanks to Amanda and Dan.
Absolutely wonderful, I can't praise it enough. We went for my 60th birthday, a marvellous surprise party with family and friends including several children. It was a brilliant week, we couldn't have been happier. It is reasonably priced given the number it sleeps.
An exceptional week for weather which enabled us to enjoy al fresco dining every day and marvel at the beautiful grounds… The lovely resort of Le Touquet is less than an hour's car ride away… We also visited a local theme park, Dennlys, which is magical for children.
Simply exquisite. Chateau Hallines is beautiful but comfortable, chic but homely, just absolutely perfect for a French getaway. They have everything you need from the basic essentials to an incredible trampoline room and roaring open fires. I would go back in a heartbeat.
A wonderful chateau: we recommend it! We stayed in a beautiful room overlooking the picturesque gardens with a river running through… We loved the indoor table tennis table and the snooker room which kept everyone entertained… You need never leave the chateau!
What a fantastic place for a party. Lots of things to do… and the place is so well stocked with everything you need.
Beautiful house, ideal location, very friendly and accommodating hosts. The house is spotless and is full of things to do for all ages. We loved the individuality and attention to detail in every room. Will be booking again for next year.
